Memories: The Making of Me

As Janet sat across from her mom scrapbooking together, her mom proceeded to tell her a few of her childhood stories that she had never heard before.  This got her thinking about what else she was missing…. It made her wonder what she was missing about her grandparent’s lives that she would never know.  What had her dad not told her about his life?  What other stories are left untold?  That led her to her own story, and asking herself, “What stories have I not told?”.

We are great at documenting family, travel and events but what about ourselves?  This class was born out of this thought process. I hope you join us, Janet Fritz & MK Gunn for an adventure in storytelling.  

This class is all about the storytelling. YOUR story to be exact. There is no one better at telling your story than you. We will be talking about and documenting what makes you the person you are today!

In this year-long class we will explore 12 different, in-depth prompts designed to get you started telling some of the stories of YOUR life. Prompts are designed to give you several ways to interpret them so you will likely have multiple story options each month. 

This class will be hosted in a private Facebook group and via monthly Zoom meet-ups. In addition to the 12 printable prompts you will receive:

12 New and exclusive sketches

24 New and Exclusive Pre-Recorded Videos (1 from MK and 1 from Janet for each prompt)

12 Zoom sessions with additional storytelling tips and tricks discussed in these open dialog meet-ups

This class was previously presented in 2021 as Impactful Storytelling: Being Me. The prompts are repeated however the videos and sketches are ALL NEW.

There will be an add-on option of a few prompt-based embellishments. For each month, Janet and MK have create an embellishment to help you tell your story.
